About Us

Talon R. Burton is the founder and Director of Talon Investigative Services. Mr. Burton brings over 20 years experience in conducting criminal investigations, law enforcement and security services. Mr. Burton is a veteran of the U.S. Army, (serving in Desert Storm as a military policeman). He is also a former Narcotics Special Agent with the Illinois State Police. Mr. Burton has most recently returned from the middle east, where he served as a Diplomatic Security Specialists for the United States Department of State.

Our Staff and associates are all U.S. military veterans, or former (some current)law enforcment officers.

Company history

Talon Investigative Services is a fully State licensed and insured Private Detective Agency, and was initally founded in 2002 in the Danville, Illinois area. We moved to Taylorville, Illinois in 2003, to be better situated in Central Illinois, 20 miles from the State Capitol of Springfield.
